Charge light is on then turns off when the car is started

Mornin all, So the other night, the Speedo and headlights wouldn’t work, then the car wouldn’t start. After charging the battery up, it was once again starting fine and dash/headlights operational. My alternator is not charging and could this be that it is not exciting? I was testing the wire...

Having done the injector washers and seals myself, I would say it is doable but lots of patience is needed! I used a lot of the different Wynns treatments that are available and these seemed to help a lot with smoke. They sell one to reduce smoke that is poured directly into your engine.

Hi, cheers for your advice. Thankfully I have managed to get it done. I just used a lot of heat and WD40. Eventually, I was able to undo the nut and the split pin broke off as I undid the nut.

Unless you drive your Landy on the road regularly, in which case they stop it from listing like a torpedoed ship when you go round corners at any reasonable speed. I would love to just leave it but i use it on road quite regularly so need it to hug those corners:cool:
