while i wait on a diagnostic appointment next week I had a look at the vacuum system, theres still vacuum all the way to the turbo so with the MAF installed I bypassed the solenoid and went straight to the turbo from the air reserviour, then I drove up the hill outside my home for about a mile...

i have a local guy who can delete all historical codes, ill ask about the EDC adaptive codes , if the MAF is disconnected then when you reconnect the MAF the fault code remains and sometimes this can cause issues apparently

is there such a thing as a cause effect document showing the various scenarios where limp mode is activated?

Hi Nodge, been running i with the MAF unplugged for over a year and recently bought a Freelander 2TD4e so looking to sell it on if I can run it as it should with the MAF connected

Still working on my TD4 issues with lack of power with MAF connected and dropping into limp mode, so far 3 x diagnostics , only code was injectors but one showed a possible issue with cylinder 3 2 replacement (refurbished) injectors New MAF (bosch) removed intake manifold and cleaned cleared...

seems my wee movie didnt upload, been a bit of a saga but replaced 2 injectors with a couple of refurbs and the start and idle seem fine but still the same when trying to run and drops into limp mode wih the MAF connected, if i had a list of things that cause this limp mode i could at least tick...

So it's official...its the turbo probably full of crud ...

well when the rain stopped I disconnected the lines from the reciever and got a vacuum then disconnected at the EGR and felt a vacuum there. I then disconnected and checked at the solenoid and at the filter and there's vacuum there...no leaks but I don't have a vac gauge to check vac...

Ah...thanks again buddy...I don't have it then and this is just a spare I would say...still the problem at hand is the turbo and now I'm thinking it's either the turbo itself or the solenoid for the variable nozzle turbo...the 2000 rev thing got me thinking that if the vanes were open at low...

Looks like brown/ yellow and white/green two pin can't see the switch you refer to though?

recently changed a cylinder on the rear wheel of my wifes 2005 Freelander...noticed I have a hissing noise from around brake pedal when depressed stops when pedal is fully depressed. Brakes seem to work fine, fluid level good. Is this the servo and should I be worried?
