What have you done to your Freelander today

Had oil and filter change + MOT..... it passed with only 2 advisories :) 2 back tyres have only 3mm tread - was going to change these anyway, and rough running at idle. I have iCarsoft i930 which tells me this is injector 1 (P0263). Really urprised it passed as it billows out white/blue smoke...

    2003 TDD non starting

Don't delete the thread - example to all of us that it's sometimes the simplest of things which mess us up. Glad it wasn't anything more serious than being too tight to fill her up properly :D

    help me with these codes...

True about P0303 which suggests both O2 sensor faults, but the other codes don't back this up (I hadn't twigged to this) - as I said, I'm no expert

    help me with these codes...

I'm not an expert on this stuff, but looking at your codes and comparing to the ones in this link it looks like an O2 sensor problem for bank B.

    VCU data

It may be that the timings in the hot test got longer as the warm oil was moved around all the plates, therefore giving more surface contact and more friction.

    Weird starting problem TD4

14.4 volts sounds ok to me for an alternator. If you needed to jump start a couple of weeks ago this suggests old or weak battery.

    Weird starting problem TD4

Sounds to me like just a low charge on the battery. AC uses quite a lot of juice. After turning the AC off there was enough power to run the pump and allow starting - then the battery got charged after running for a while. Maybe check the battery condition (is it old), or the alternator...

    2 stroke oil

Hi Freddie, The micro filters will only take out particulate matter which will extend the life of your fuel filter. Millers or branded fuels contain additives which are disolved into the fuel and will get into the engine, enhancing combustion and preventing carbon build up from the burning...

    2 stroke oil

I haven't used any on my 05 TD4 yet, but only 'cos it's in England and I'm not !!! I have used it on my x-type (2.0 duratorq engine) for the last 2 years and you can tell the difference - much quieter and smoother with only 50ml per tank. I usually use 50ml of Millers in one tank (without 2...

    Hello all

Hi everyone, I just thought I'd introduce myself as a new Freelander owner (as of yesterday). Bog standard 05 TD4 SE with 105k miles. Everything works - which I understand is a bonus for a freelander ;-), but I'm planning a bit of tarting up and tuning on it in the near future... ... I did...
