You can squeeze the shock out with the spring but its tricky. Reid saw idea is a great tip. You have just had some crappy luck..

Very clean Beemer, this is as clean as I could keep mine, but it was my daily driver with over 100k on it here, I really miss it and would love another if not an M3. Can't believe I got rid of the Beemer for this heap of crap.

I have a drone in fourth and fifth but as I have seen the transfer box output bearing leaking, I'm hing it is just that bearing going. Live in hope..... 200Tdi_ayre, you're just mean lol

That looks impressive. The lay shaft bearing gives the box a drone in fifth as its direct drive iirc. Could be wrong though. Is this bearing on the back case? Could it be done in situ? Rst of the box looks clean enough doesn't it?

Don't think it is, the gutter is used as a fixing flange. Gutters are then seam sealed in the factory. Seam sealer dries over time, splits and then water gets in and tadaa
