yes I had it out and cleaned it but only after i found this problem. its in a difficult place to see well the wiring so not to sure really

what do mean by... You did remove the sealing washer from the previous filter before fitting the new one I take it? If you mean the rubber seal on old filter yes i have removed it as the new filter has a new one. Ive tried the purging like you say at least 20 times and still nothing

Ive tried purging the air out by running the fuel pump on and off. I've disconnected the fuel line at the engine bloke turned the fuel pump on and fuel is coming out. Ive run the battery flat 2 times trying to purge and start ?????????
