Ah ok. Sounds kinda simple if you've been under the bonnet of a Landrover before. not sure what a vacuum tank or turbo solenoid looks like. Ill start by looking that up and familiarising myself with that and then follow your advice. Many thanks for your help. Velz

Hey all. Well I finally got myself a freelander after much searching around. Went from London to Devon this weekend for the bank holiday and noticed a lack of power up the steep hills and puffs of black smoke at high power or kickdown. Any help would be great.
