    The brake bleeding story and of course its my fault.

    That's exactly what I have used before but now use a pump up garden sprayer to force the fluid from the nipple into the reservoir. It also makes it easier to open and close the nipple without having to "pump" the oil can at the same time. Even works on the clutch which can be a bugger to bleed.

    Wedge the pedal down and reverse bleed. Works every time for me and its a one man job. Doris can then get on with the ironing and stuff ;)
