Just fitted some 2" spacers on a fellas truck for him, and just as i finished his dad come out and says ' they are an mot failure them lad, you will av to take em off afore you put it through' These are the 2" blocks that fit between the axle and the spring plate. Anyone know if he's right...

As well as coming loose they will fook ya wheel bearings on a regular basis too. Better off wiv wider tyres an adjust steering stops as menshuned.

agree with that ^^ an talking of ramps, I'm assuming you got one or got use of one, cos if you gonna try sandblasting by jacking up or summat, you gonna cause yourself a lot of pain, not to mention the damage you will do to the underside of the disco. Steam clean and waxoyl or get it done...

Damn, you aint gotta lotta room in thum there arches fella. As a quick fix you can get 2" spacers, which fit between the axle and the spring plate. Cost about £40.00 off fleabay, til you got enough dough for the full monty:D

its worth sorting the rot if it aint too bad, then using an underseal like Waxoyl to protect it. The clutch plate, if warped, will need replacing, as it will only get worse.

doors etc are indeed alloy, and agree wiv clutch plate possibly being problem, had that on one ov mine. The rest of the body is actually made of rust, held togevver with paint.

Ive recently lifted me 300tdi, only 2" and running on 235/85/16 MT's. Fing is to stop er falling over, I'm gonna put 30mm wheel spacers on which brings the wheels out about 45mm more than standard. Someone as told me plod don't like this wivout some extended wheel arches, so anyone know wot...
