Ahem, you joined just over a month ago?!! What a plonker!

Cheapest place to buy Mach 5's?

That's potentially a very valid statement - although I've not actually checked posts to see whether they're actually contributing?

Cheapest place to buy Mach 5's?

Just one for you to ponder...why do you actually waste your time replying if you have nothing of any possible use to input? Looking at your post count you may just have very little else to do? Just a guess! I was simply looking for a recommendation.

Google...of course. Makes you wonder why anyone actually actually starts a new thread when you can just "Google" everything?!! Blah! :)

Cheapest place to buy Mach 5's?

Not had a Defender in a few years but was thinking of maybe getting a 110 CSW mostly for weekends and to carry the dog in. I've always liked the look of Mach 5's but not having been into things Land Rover for a while I'm out of touch with who's competitive in terms of cost? I'd probably be going...

    110 XS CWS 2.4 Puma 2008

Have to say your Defender does look very good. Can I ask what the condition is like - dings, stonechips etc and interior wear and tear? It has done 100K miles and is a Land Rover so not expecting pefection. I also noticed that you only recently purchased it and you were intending keeping it a...

    TD5 Hardtop Roof Trim Sagging

The material isn't detached from the foam backing, the problem is that the semi-rigid backing has drooped over the window - we are only talking an inch or so. Was curious to learn how it was fixed to the roof?

    TD5 Hardtop Roof Trim Sagging

It's not a huge issue, but the roof trim in the rear of my 2006 Hardtop is drooping a little around the high level off-side window. I could ask the dealer to take a look at it (it's under warranty) but would prefer to fix it myself and avoid the probability of dirty fingerprints over the...

    Stainless Fixings..where to buy?

    Thanks, much appreciated.

    Stainless Fixings..where to buy?

Yes, it's come up with a couple of companies - I was kinda hoping for a recommendation. Ultimately I don't mind buying a complete kit (if I have to) if it's reasonable value, good quality and covers the areas I particularly want to replace.

    Stainless Fixings..where to buy?

I know of a couple of locations in Cardiff that will sell the fixings I need (most of them) but it would mean taking along the nuts, bolts, washers etc and trying to match them with what they had available. I was ideally hoping that I could buy what I need before taking the originals off.

    Stainless Fixings..where to buy?

I'd like to purchase some stainless nuts and bolts for my Defender. Most of mine are fine but I would like to change the ones to the front grille (extended grille for air-con) and as I'm fitting a steering guard, the ones there too. Where is good and reasonably priced???

Rust bleeding over the rear off-side mudflap!

Took it back and they agree that it's a problem and that the coating is flaking. They initially suggested that their body shop can repair it, I asked if they had the facility to re-coat in plastic/nylon and they said yes, probably!!! I said I didn't think that was likely. They said that if they...

Safari-Equip - anyone try their steering guards??

Thanks, yes that helps. Unless I'm mistaken they don't (or won't) powder coat the Aluminum guards which is probably what I would prefer. They can be anodised but apparently they don't offer anodising as a service - I would have to arrange it myself. Not sure why that's the case as their Disco...

Safari-Equip - anyone try their steering guards??

Isn't that a steel one though? Still cheaper that Safari-Equip once you add the vat but not by a huge amount (75 plus vat for Safari-Equip Steel).

Rust bleeding over the rear off-side mudflap!

In some ways it's quite funny, what kind of people do they have working on these cars?!! There is just NO care shown at all. I would still prefer to fit the next one myself if I can, I will at least take care and give it some thought before fitting. The mind boggles at what kind of damage they...

Rust bleeding over the rear off-side mudflap!

The other parts will clean up if I feel the need to, just seemed a little half arsed not to change the whole thing. What annoys me is the general lack of care they exhibited with the fitting of the new step. I'll pop it back into them and see what they say, luckily for me the dealer is only 400...

Rust bleeding over the rear off-side mudflap!

Ok, on the positive side they fitted the new rear step today. On initial browse it seemed to be done ok'ish, although they just replaced the step and not the associated arms/fitting kit that accompany it - no big deal but the step now looks new and the rest of the bits don't. Silly really as the...

Safari-Equip - anyone try their steering guards??

Tried my hardest for a discount with Safari-Equip but no joy. Quite fancied a black one (actually powder coated) but they charge and extra 20 pounds for that. I'll take a browse at a few others.
