    Broke down again

I think the belt stripped because it was already starting to misalign and the outer edge had worn away by 5mm and had got caught in the casing someway, having looked further into the problem I read a webpage were this was a problem which was suppose to be corrected in a recall but I don't think...

    Broke down again

There is no sediment in the fuel, new pipe, new lift pump, new filter, new diesel, plenty of fuel as far as injector pump, I have pumped that much fuel around the system that the diesel is coming out of the return pipe going back to the tank

    Broke down again

The soliniod is not stopping the car from running as I have removed the plunger of the end and retightened the soliniod back into the injector pump. the problem is that fo some reason the injector pump is not giving diesel out to the injectors. There is plenty of diesel, there is no air lock...

    Broke down again

I have replaced soliniod without the plunger on the end, loads of fuel and no air in system, I am not bothered about having to stall car as long as I knew it was starting and running, I would order new soliniod, the problem is that it will not start, and it is a fuel problem which is causing it...

    Lift pump problem

ok I have now fitted a new copper fuel pipe direct from tank to lift pump, also fitted a priming bulb from a rover 200 diesel between the supply pipe and lift pump to make it easier to pump diesel through, fitted new lift pump and that works ok, fitted new diesel filter, primed diesel all the...

    Lift pump problem

was looking at connecting the syphon to the outlet side of lift pump tomorrow morning once the rain stops to try and prime the lift pump as you suggest, also thinking of running new copper fuel pipe once I find out what size it is, I think 8mm copper should be the same size. Sods law, the...
