    Front drivers window

ok back on track for two secs ;) Pulled out the gubbins and the cables had wound out of the motor and were all buggered up. So after much playing about, attempted to use some other similar style cable, and did this that and that other to try and stop cable from slipping,,, bottom...

    Front drivers window

Well the jockey wheels (plastic white wheels?) seem to be intact. the cable had come off and I have managed to get it back on.....however, there is something going on at the top of the door - due to the intense sunshine today, I gave up. Perhaps will have another go tomorrow to see if I can...

Morning all, does anyone have any sort of diagram for the window mechanism for the front drivers door? Been playing with mine as it started churning and grinding and have managed to put a cable back in but something is still not right. Thanks :)

    Positive Comments

Can I just add (cos just seen this thread) that I love(d) my Freelander... Unfortunately the headgasket going south did tarnish our relationship, and though we have been to counselling, we are finding it rough :-) to be honest, was supposed to have put it up for sale by now, but haven't...

    Well thats it

Well the Jap Import was actually quiet reliable once the first fuel pump fuse problem disappeared! Drove to France and back 3 times with no problems - and got a sofa in the back with sundry paint etc! It was very nice but we had to get rid as there wasn't a left hand drive version around which...

    Well thats it

:D :D I did have a Toyota Lucida before this (8 seater Jap import) - the only advantage it had was the rooooomm!

    Well thats it

You'll be amazed at how few 2cvs there are to buy - we looked around for a 'second car' and they are all taken!! Going out today in the Freelander - don't know why I do it to myself ;)

    Well thats it

Just got my Freelander 1.8 XEi lego made car back from the Garage after the magical wizard came a blew fairy dust on my headgasket! Yup, just after buying car (in France as we moved here :o) found out about 'that' problem. "Hmm" we thought - not much we can do, will keep an eye and look after...

    Heating issue

Ok, now I think I know the answer but here goes... This morning, my Freelander XEi 1.8 petrol overheated whilst I was out in the country :( The engine compartment where the coolant bottle is, is now nice and brown where all the water came out the valve-cap. So filled it up with water and...

    The Plunge!

Well we took the plunge despite the many probs noted! :) We bought a 2000 1.8Xei thingy and the after we told the Garage of the problems, they gave us a 6 month warranty! Fingers crossed, its been serviced every year of its life at a Land Rover dealer here in France and has only done 67k so...

    watchdog?

Ok, well I have just spoken to LandRover customer service and the chap was very honest and informative... He basically said that the problem was accepted by LandRover (although not by MG Rover who used the same engines) and there is a modification on the engine (something to do with a seperate...

    watchdog?

OK everyone - one last question afore we take the plunge! we met someone today with a Freelander registered 1999 who had major engine problems which turned out to be a fault from the manufactures and also appeared on WatchDog! Does anyone have any info about this or even any ideas if there is a...

    French Freelander Unleaded

All, Just moved to France and have had to get rid of my car (long story) - anyway spotted a Freelander 2000 model which is unleaded, has 67,000 km on the clock and having taking a test ride it runs very nicely. Now, question is, should I be wary of anything? Never had a Landrover before and...
