also, mine is a p38 incase we get confused here

sorry to clarify it doesnt do it 25% throttle but does it between 35% - 50% throttle the kick down just cuts in and out until it changes gear then does it all again, its alright if i drive everywhere flat out

kushti! but does it recieve it signal from the throttle switch which then sends signal to ecu? or similiar?

how is this operated on the p38 is it electronic or what and how does it operate

:mad: well, bit of an update. have changed absolutley everything now apart from the ecu's, so im thinking there is a problemwith one f these gonna start with gearbox ecu, coz its the cheapest, then the engine ecu before finally the becm

i had diagnosed and it came up with faulty tps switch and fuel temp switch so i changed them and still doing it, im now thinking possibly the replacement maf was faulty or ecu problem

i may help it on its way, well im gonna bite the bullet and have it diagnosed via testbook to get to the bottom of this problem !

just noticed this morn that my original maf was a lucas item, and the replacement is a sagem unit, but both are the 20am type, should this matter
