I've clamped off the fuel return, disconnected from all the injectors dried the tops of the injectors and turned the engine over they are still dry as a bone so I would rule the injectors out unless you have any other thoughts?

Does anyone know what fuel pressure is needed at the common rail to start the engine? My car is 1023 kpa before turning the engine over. Does that sound enough?

Does anybody know what pressures the rear and front fuel pumps should be putting out?

At last a bit of light at the end of the tunnel! Had the AA out and he is near certain it is the fuel pressure regulator. How can I be certain, what ways can this be tested? He put some easy start in the airbox and it kicked up!

Thanks Mondo! Another person has suggested the camshaft sensor(that is the one on top of the engine near to the maf isn't it?) Do you have any ideas how to test it? Been on to the dealer £55 so before I throw any more money away I'd like to be as sure as I possibly can be.

Pump ok! Somebody said the engine should still start without the glow plugs as the weather has been hot today and the engine was run for at least 15 mins imediately after switching off trying to start again!

I got a mate to come around and give me a tow to bump start the TD4 first try it kicked up drove around for a while it was running perfectly turned it off wouldn't start again. What does the Immobiliser immobilise? Could this be my problem,has anybody had anything similar? Any ideas how to check it?

Checked a few posts and the glow plug thing sounds normal. Should I now be looking towards the injectors for the rason of not starting?

I have had the car for 6 months and never noticed the heater coil light thing on the dash come on I know there is one there because it flashed on once a few weeks ago. It litterally stayed on for less than a second. I take it this could be the problem what are the possibilities? How can I remedy it?
