    Poly v Rubbers bush kits ...pros & cons

    Most of my bushes (1990 RR) need changing. I can get poly or rubber bushes, poly being over twice the price of the rubber ones. Has anybody had experience with poly/rubber bushes? Is there a marked difference in handling/performance? Are they either easier to fit? Are they worth 2x or more...

    ok thanks, u joints look good but i will inspect. The clunk is from front passenger side when take up drive quickly or when going up a steep hill. Used to be a single clunk which can be felt through seat /peddles .....then developed into two clucks....then an hour or two ago i took the little...

    I had to put them back so i could use it ......light is fading now so i will get under in the morning. Do you agree Sean? Its a sliding joint & just give it some force? I've just soaked it in WD40 so hopefully it will shift tomorrow.

    Pictures are attached to be sure ... cover for sliding joint was out of position so there may be all manner of rubbish down it.

    yes tried that, there is a small amout of give in the damper/ram but not enough to get it over the rim of the flange and certainly not enough to get it over the flange nut & if i did get it off like that i would have trouble compressing it to get it back on. :confused:

    Thanks Sean, But there is physically no space .....each end is loose & wobbles but there is no room to remove the propshaft..cant remove pinion end because of the pinion nut (so not flush wont slide out) and gearbox end has studs & i need to move the prop shaft an inch towards the back of the...
