Found a small (6-7mm?) neat round hole on right hand vertical side of airbox. Sort of in centre of where air filter sits (internally). It's empty and 'fluttering' on tick-over. Can't be right surely? Any thoughts? Thanks, R PS FL1 TD4, 2004, 92K km.

Freelander excellent choice – one of the best for snow. Not too good at serious off-road, but that’s what the Discos/ Defenders etc are for. Also there was a good upgrade in 2004 (exterior, interior, +misc). Engine to go for is TD4 and go for a high version like HSE to get leather...

Well that lasted all of about a week. Stuttering, yellow light and no power all over again. So went off and bought the fuel pump (£200 downtown Genva L/R !), detached pump assembly, slotted it all in, and re-assembled everything - getting easier and quicker at this lark. Works like a dream...
