    MOT time

That's something less to worry about then. However, the top of the driver's door was a little wobbly and was blown clean off in the storms last night :( Floydster

Thanks for the help guys. Fingers crossed it won't be too expensive to make it legal again. Cheers, Floydster

    MOT time

Hi, My 2a lightweight is due its MOT, it's a 1972 and the first Landy I've ever owned so I have a couple of (possibly stupid) questions. The reversing light has never worked since I bought it, would it ever have had one and is this what the spotlight in the rear window is? next.. The...

Posted a couple more pictures here: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=6263 Where do I start to make it look as it should and any ideas how much it would cost?

Haven't seen it in daylight for a while but here's a picture I took beside the rest of the fleet tonight before the sun went down. http://www.scotdir.com/temp/fleet.jpg I'll post some clearer piccies for comments when I'm back on a sensible shift. Floydster

I wouldn’t travel hundreds of miles just to see it, although it is very impressive. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area though. Haven’t been on it in a boat but it is amazing to watch when it rotates. Floydster

Nope, but I'm originally from Denny. I managed to escape years ago. Now staying in the countryside between Falkirk and Bathgate.

    First silly question

It's Red/Brown on the V5, don't suppose that makes it better

    First silly question

Hand painted in dark red with a white hard top. Lovely!!!! The MOT's due in December so I'll see how much that costs and if there's any cash left over I'll return it to the original colour.

    First silly question

Thanks folks, I'm now totally up to speed on what to do in (my very red) Series IIa. Thanks again. I did have a quick search last night but I'd had a couple of cans and my spooling was probably wrong. Very happy in Scotland, Floydster

    First silly question

I've read on a couple of sites that my Series IIa should be able to go into 2wd as well as 4wd. I really have no idea how to work the gearbox and don't have any handbooks etc. to help me. I'm sure you've all seen this loads but could someone explain what positions the levers should be in for...

    New owner from Central Scotland

Just thought I'd say hi. I've recently bought my first Land Rover, a 1972 series IIa lightweight. It's the first Land Rover I've ever owned, but not the first old (sorry, classic) car I've ever had. I'm hoping to use it daily and with the price of parts and the aluminium body I should be able...
