No no, that gets done every 6 weeks. I have been told I can have an oil analysis on the engine oil which will tell me if there are any contaminants in the system.

Surely my mechanic would check this upon inspection and let me know..? It seems to happen even when it isn't under load.. In terms of oil checks, we have had a main oil change recently (last 4/5 weeks). However, I've never had an oil analysis done..

No juddering or anything, in all honesty it drives fine, it just sounds bad. The only oil that's been changed is the main engine oil which was probably around 5 weeks ago.
