    Yup air in fuel. Have just obtained replacement fuel lift pump so bleeding the fuel system is a one person job. Think i've got landy fever bad!!

    I guess i just like to take advantage of freebies at work, and i much prefer browsing a paper version to loking at a screen. And its reassuring to know i can access that info without relying on bill gates or powergen.

    Companion car for landy

    Just about to get a Renault 4 as a spare vehicle to complement a landy, and was wondering what other people use as backup/second vehicle. I guess most people go for 'sensible' modern techno-cars? I love the simplicity of the Renault 4, and at 40 mpg cheap to run too.

    Success, the engine lives!!! Now to go for a spin in the sunshine. :) Next job; change the cambelt, in next couple of weeks anyway. Having printed out all of the landy workshop manuals at work i feel well prepared to start living with a landy.

One problem i've encountered is that the fuel lift pump has been by-passed to a modern tubular type pump. There is no manual lever to pump air and fuel through to the distribution...

    A couple of weeks ago my 110 developed a fuel leak from the line from the disributor pump to the no. 1 injector. I tightened the nut a bit to see if that stopped the leak. It made it worse. Replaced the line, no more leak. But now it wont start. Could tightening the fuel line nut have caused...
