Thanks for the help. Is there a way to stop the wooshing sounds then, like replacing the brakes as its a pretty loud sound? I assume this means the master cylinder will need replacing aswell then?

The landy was made in 86 but the 200tdi was put in at a later date as its a Ex MoD landrover. Its hard to tell if the suspension has been changed but before we got it is was used on the beach by some surfers so they may have changed it. Also i live in yorkshire.
