    Just been out and bought a new battery, £54. Use the multimeter for checking voltage and alternater current, but I didnt know about the amperage drain test until I came across this thread. Cracking tip, as is the diagram of the lamp test . Thank you.:)

    Just tried this on our disco with draining battery problem , gave a reading of 1.9 amps, which had me a little concerned, until I remembered I`d left the passenger door open, closed that and the drain dropped to 0.1amps . Used a rubber floor mat to insulate the +terminal.
