Mornin all.
Flipping dogs kept getting me up to let them out over and over again, starting at 2 a.m.
Eventually got back to sleep.
Couldn't make head nor tail of it......

Until I woke up at about 7:30.

Piles of Di....ea.
That explained it.
Typically on the only wood floor in the house.
So far tried diluted white disinfectant which has shifted a lot of it, but still.....

It's gone into the grain a bit so next fing, the steam cleaner. Peeps talk about "enzymatic cleaners" no idea which ones they are especially over 'ere. I'll have to do more digging.

@DanClarke you seem to be faced with this a bit wiv yur cats, any ideas, pretty please? TIA!

I always mop up what I can with loo paper and/or kitchen towel, then break out the Vax "Spotwash" machine and it does a pretty good job TBH.

I eventually found a bit of enzymatic washing powder stuff that W uses, normally she doesn't have anything enzymatic in the place, so I used that, then broke out the VAX steam cleaner and gave it a blast with that. First time we have taken the little hand steam cleaner of it and used it. Quite impressed actually, W is thinking of using it on the cooker, well hob, I had mentioned it before.....
I'll have to wait and see if it dries well.
But thanks for the tips.
Normally of course it is on the tiled flooring i..e the rest of the house, which is very much easier to clean.

Temp here 49 C in the sun, down by the pool. I know this as I had left the pool temp gauge out. It only goes up to 50 C :oops:
So 38 C in the shade.
Dreading cleaning the hen hut out this arvo , but has to be done as we will be out most of the next two days.
Spent a large part of this morning going through the cellar books for both countries in order to decide which wine makers to visit and what to buy when we get there. Also checking that a restaurant that we used to go to when doing this, but which has been taken over, is still OK. It would appear to be, if you can trust TripAdvisor, which we don't really. We can go past them on the way back from lunch on Friday and check the menu which, thank the lord, French law decrees they must put up outside.
Enjoy the p.m. folks!:):):)

We've talked about shoplifting here a good deal. I see the latest advice from the policing minister is not to put high value items near the front of the shop
because 'obviously people will nick' them.
Here's an archive link which will get you round the Telegraph's paywall if need be:
Have we? Am I on "Nextdoor" and not LandyZone???!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

A cork 😂

It is waaaay too hot for comfort. Even in the shade. Got 'er indoors car service done this morning, before the temperature got too high and it was in the shade. And being re-tyred, I have the rest of the day off - except for putting the bins out later.
Seems to be a car garage week. Hippo's mot, your car, my subframe and anti roll bar joint. Thankfully the job isn't as expensive as I thought so I won't need to sell my knickers 😬
