no run out checks before or after the machining and a locking bolt drilled through the crank journal and then skimmed sheer skill :( let hope the crank shaft bearing regrind is as precise. love the health and safety sandals and loose clothing do not cause an issue .
 
I sometimes get sucked down the YouTube wormhole of "Street Side Manufacturing". Forging brakes discs from scrap oil drums, children packing fireworks, turning great crank shafts on a 1950's lathe with no guards or whatever. It's certainly resourcful, but marching around with a bucket of molten steel wearing only open toe'd safety sandals and thick blankets as protection must restult in horrific injuries.

I saw one once where a guy was man handling a great length of steel between sets of rollers, and after each pass another guy threw a bucket of water over him to keep him cooled down. Hard work doesn't really cover it!
