As the title says, I am going to try to replace the reverse light unit. Can't find my RAVE, so it's up to you lovely lot. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ First question is: are the little black 'caps' , in the photo just pop off. Can I carefully slip a flat head screwdriver or similar under and just pop them off? Or is there going to be a magic tool only Land Rover have? tia

You don’t need to remove that top strip to get the lamp off, simply unscrew the screw on the top and lift the lamp out. The electrical cable can be pulled through and you Rotate the bulb holder to remove. Refitting is the reverse ;).
Tricky

Little bit of feedback and thanks yet again again.πŸ™
From start job took under 5 mins. Went to drawer, got a philips screwdriver, walked over to car, opened top of tailgate, unscrewed unit, twisted bulb holder out, put bulb holder into new unit, fitted it, screw back in, tailgate closed. Simples
Much better than had I taken that strip off and started faffing about 🀣
