An that anorl.
As for the hotels, I think is a tickler kinda bee that uses ours. Smaller an darker than a nunny bee. They walls the toobs up, mebbe to hibernate or to protect babee?
Thought I'd close this thread with my solution, although it was weeks ago.
I had all the faces on the oil cooler block and filter block skimmed and fitted new gaskets. So far it's stayed leak free.
I didn't have any of the right gaskets or O rings for both the oil filters so I've had to order those. The main cooler gasket was leaking from both of the lower oilways.
This where I am currently.
Well, I finally prevailed. :)
The issue seems to be that the outside legs of the spring compressor need to be enough coils down the spring to compress a decent amount of the spring and then you lean on the whole thing to compress the remaining...
the error when first read was Driver Demand error which is throttle, had a new TPS fitted a couple of years back. so going to clean the connector over the weekend but it ran much better last night with no errors.
The actual error logged is ->...
Did you take a.note of the fault codes?
Of course clearing any codes won't fix it but atleast with a clear memory any new faults will be more relevant.
obd scanner arrived, was able to clear the codes. took it for a run last night and drove about 6 miles with no cut out. Previously it would cut out within half a mile. Early signs are promising , will test on a longer run tomorrow.
Fingers...
Hope it can read live data, as without that you may sadly be on a hiding to nothing. There may well be no codes to read, there weren't when I had this problem or similar. Crossed fingas!
20yrs and never a drop of oil in the red plug still on the original injector loom
Only ever had one fault reading on the Hawkeye so am I lucky ? Or is it because it was a special military build by order ?
(Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I have had oil in my red plug since I bought mine in 2014. I changed the injection loom as everyone said and kept on getting rid of the oil for a while. Seems to make no difference, so I only clean it out when I...
Ive just traced a cutting out problem with my td5 conversion to a bad earth to the fuel pump, also had oil in the red plug
started out with the engine ticking over with no throttle. Then started cutting out bypassed all relays and found a bad...
It was a dark and stormy night (as Edward Bulwer-Lytton famously wrote) and I was heading westwards on the M54, just where it changes into the A5. The engine hesitated for a moment but then came back on again, complete with yellow light. As it...
Another thing I discovered is that if the MAF fails when you're driving at speed it puts the yellow engine light on. When I got home I had a look with the Nanocom and it didn't appear to be flowing any air, which was a giveaway. Interestingly...
There's various stuff that goes wrong with TD5s that I've experienced. It sounds like there's some sort of intermittent electrical fault. As well as the accelerator (or 'driver demand') potentiometer going wrong, it's also possible for the wiring...
Don't take the piston to the bottom of its stroke, no need, just take it up to nearly the top and ram the rope in, then turn it.
TBH I never used the rope just the tool, maybe mine is bettern yourn. Dunno. You need to give the end of the valve a...
Yep, that sort of thing.
The vigneronne we talked to who has a daughter in ther 20s who she hoped would take the business on, even as a kid was sksing where her 5 a day were coming from. She don't drink alcohol at all.
Peeps are drinking less...
.... I am a bit cross/sad/disheartened. Harumph!
I thought that today would be a very good day to change the valve stem oil seals on the Mini, but It isn't. :(
Rocker pedestal off, plugs out, pick a cylinder at the bottom of its stroke, fill...
I think this might be linked to the horribles at number 8 wanting it which has to go down our drive.
Personally we don't give a flip we just don't want it to cost us yet more money. We pay 6 months for nothing as it is!
