Problem with the old truck today
Switched all the switches the right way, flicked the glow plugs on and waited. Then switched my secret switch on and turned the key, nowt, zilch not a flicker.
Commenced to check battery connections...
I wouldn't make things difficult for yourself tbh. You are simply repairing a vehicle with a replacement part, same as if it was a door, an engine, a dashboard.
One good thing, while I was underneath doing the front axle I had a good look at the damage done to the underside of the front of the front fender/spoiler/valance thing, where the fog light should be. Should tell you the truck came to me with...
Yessdi the blasted Bosch mulcher ground to a halt yet again. Feeding it with branches of laurel. The switch was dodgy last time I used it. Grr.
So I wasn't able to mulch as much stuff as I wanted to, to take down the tip.

A D3 is a Land Rover.
Any Land Rover can be a money pit.
You donโt need any particular Land Rover to go green laning (save for the really technical stuff).
No We dont want or need a Jimmy.
We own a very well maintained and reliable 4.4 L322 for the long stuff and a D90 for the fun stuff.
Then obviously your "so called" landy specialist wasnt.
What are you going to read it with and do with the info...
Here we go again .
Look if you couldnt sort the "small" problem on your D1 then how are you going to approach a D3 with all its tech?
Buy a Jimmy and have done with it.

I should have asked on here to find this out.
As is often the case, it was a job I had never had problems with before. I asked on the WWW and they didn't come up with anything I had to hand. Heat gun lost, I just persevered.
And I doubt the stickers on your shelves had been outside baking in the sun for years altho you may correct me.
The GB sticker, the one that gave the real problem, had been on for 10 years.
Some glue really is clever stuff.
As I said before a kettle of hot water, pour some on one edge, pick at it to lift edge, keep pouring little and often to heat sections and peel away ...
Mornin
Bright and sunny again
Puttin Volvo up for sale again next week, think 1400 would be a good price, we'll see ๐ค
Definitely going to cut truck bonnet today and get at least one hinge fitted :D
Bathroom guru coming Monday to see what can be...
[Should have bought a tratter, no washing required possible, as the water ends up inside]
Very Eco friendly is tratters. Rain water washes the outside, water runs inside and washes the floor, runs out of the holes and washes the chassis.

I spiked the front grass (not worthy of being called a lawn) at Wimblowdriver Towers last year. Used a garding fork. Then pulled a few weeds and over seeded it. It looks a lot better now, I think the spiking did help a lot. I have a constant...
I did wish I could have found it, but I have lost it and couldn't be bothered emptying the garage only to find that I'd taken it to France.
It is one of those things I only use once in a blue moon though you may remember I used a hair dryer...
Yep, is a good idea. We had a spikey roller fing, but it wasn't easy to use and had a habit of jabbing me when bumbling about in me garridge. Smashing it up to stiff in the bin was a cathartic moment..
Tried and tested meffud is wif a trusty...
Wife's brother (the really 'orrible little creep) complains that the food wifey gets for her mother (that her Mum asks for and will not accept anything else) is "NOT GOOD ENOUGH, I don't like it, you need to get other stuff". Wifey is really...
