Don't you have to have registered certificates now for rewiring. Especially if selling the property later on.

I ain't no expert but have done loads of domestic elecs for myself. Assuming 2 days for a spark and a mate, £1000 should more than cover the labour. Add say another £1000 for materials and profit. Total 2 grand.

Its a bit of "how long is a bit of string" We dont know how many sockets/what type, how extensive is the rewire. New fuse box new scokets+boxes, access (floorboards up?) 2 days work sounds like the house is pretty gutted. I dont know the prices...
