If you are wedded to LED you need to spend real money to get good quality ones. The cheap units themselves seem to be full of reliability issues. Even once you have good quality reliable LED light units you then have the issues pointed out above...

Yes, it clicks in nicely when attached to the Speedo clock but the needle never moves. I’ve also tried spinning the cable with a drill from the other end and the Speedo doesn’t move

Removed ropey indicator and light switches and replaced. I know have full beam on one side, so the switch was definitely dodgy. Need to work out why only one side is working.

Sprayed it with what I had to hand (WD40 contact cleaner) and left for 30 mins. Did the job for now.

Even some WD40 sprayed into the lock barrel/mechanism will be beneficial in this weather.
