Having driven several Solihull products during 22 years service in the RAF, I finally overcame that trauma and bought a 300 Tdi Disco in 98. That purchase was prompted by the need to go off road in comfort to retrieve the tools that my two sons were using and abusing in rebuilding and playing with a 21/4 petrol lightweight and a Perkins diesel powered Series 3 109.
Since then my wife also bought a 300tdi to find out what the men in her life were doing and to shout at us all about the series 2.

Since the foregoing the family has graduated to a Freelander 2 via P38s and TD5 discos.
