Hi Jim. I've got a nice whistling sound coming from the front end of my TD5. I have a feeling that it is the exhaust manifold, so will be taking it to Roverland next week. Do you have the part number for the Wurth studs for Mercs that I can use as replacements? Thanks Tom

My 2 cents worth........ Land Rover offered me a recon head. Given that cracks around the injectors are a problem (injectors 2, 3 & 4 for me), I decided to stump up the cash for the Turners head, as the recon head potentially may still have underlying issues.. Tom

Pete from BAS near York did mine + decat and centre box. Could feel the difference straight away, and now have over 110k on the clock with no issues; and no problems with the gasses once done, they leave from the place originally intended i.e. the exhaust! For some reason my MOT soot readings...

And while you're about it you might want to remove the cat and ditch the centre box if it has them. Tom

Cracks on the head around injectors 2, 3 & 4. That's why I went for the new head instead of the recon. Tom

Yup, posted about this issue before. Had the Turners head on for 6k miles now and no issues with diesel in fuel. Get it sorted quick, as the turbo likes to use the nice mix to run away with itself.... Speak to Frida at Turners - she is really clued-up on Landys! Tom
