The MAP pipe is still connected? Someone on here had issues with aftermarket MAF sensors, admittedly the petrol rather than the diesel.

Between cylinders 3 & 4 in he side of the head. The MAP sensor is more likely.

Yes Nanocom needed to check the MAP sensor. Have you tried unplugging the MAF? The temperature sensor for the EDC can also cause a problem as can inlet air temperature sensor which is part of the MAF.

About 1 bar above atmospheric pressure maximum with the engine under load. On my diagnostics, atmospheric pressure is shown as well as boost pressure, at idle the two figures will be much the same.

No power and black smoke sounds like turbo pipe has come off or collapsing or intercooler blocked.

Bit different in the UK & Europe. anything that could affect the vehicle has to be declared to the insurance and in some cases a check at a government test centre is required. Good luck with your project.

ok so you put a new battery on, then a new alternator. now, you need to fully charge the battery with a battery charger and try again. the smart alternator will eventually learn your new battery profile

GEMS has a setting for 4.0 or 4.6, but cannot find anything in the Nanocom for Thor ?? Either the original Thor ECU might learn the new engine behaviour, or it will under/over fuel because the firmware is wrong !! Best talk to one of those ECU...
