Replaced the ZEBRA strip with an elastomer strip to fix the HEVAC display. Then took the switch pack out to clean the contacts on a non functioning switch. Why is it always the UP function that fails letting you lower the window but not close it?

Are you sure its coming from the sump gasket? Another place it could be from is the valley gasket and it then runs down the front of the timing cover. Check that both the PCV breathers along with their hoses are not blocked. The nipples that...

Probably the gasket, or whatever sealant has been used in the past. Looks a bit like where the front cover sealant is supposed to go ?? Put the EAS on maximum height, and place blocks under the bump stops to prevent it dropping. Then just...

Thanks, that might make sense. I've noticed that what passes for weatherstripping above the D pillar is torn, on both sides. IDK, maybe that's a red herring but still. I've already had the common TPMS sensor failure commonly thought to be...

I’d imagine it’s the same thing. But you’ve got 4 zone; driver, front passenger, DS rear passenger and PS rear passenger. Fan speed is likely controlled by the front controls though.

That doesn't sound like 4 zone. I have the same. Driver and passenger controls, which influence the rear temp adjustment. I say adjustment because it's not full control, you can only choose warmer or cooler than the front temp. It's not fully...

Very sorry, it seems that the exhaust side of the turbo with the waste gate has gone missing so no photo's, probably went in the scrap iron bag. The actual waste gate is quite simple when disconnected from the actuator.

Thought, You do the pressure test and all is good. Have you changed the cap? It’s the only thing not in the equation when you pressure test it. I understand that hot/cold can make leaks elsewhere but a new cap is not a lot of beer tokens :). J
