I've got some chips in the lacquer of my beautiful walnut dash. Anyone have any idea how I might mend them? The lacquer or varnish must be nearly 1mm thick. I stil have one of the chips... the other long gone.

Got the car working again, wohoo. The immobilization code had changed. Also the engine type was wrong on becm settings? It was "early edc", tought that was weird since mine is -99. So switched that to late edc and after that i got it running...

Good progress today. Intake manifold and all ancillaries are on. Tried fitting the aux belt, but it has defeated me today. Rubber kept getting twisted and jammed in the fan blades. Will continue tomorrow if the weather permits.

Fair point about the springs, check the rear brake lines between the body and the chassis, especially above the cross member above the rear axle. They do give up in that area👍 As for a front brake différence, the calipers may just be passed...
