just wondering, is this from neutral, bang in drive then flooring it straight away? or already in drive, floor it and it does nothing for 2 seconds? do the revs jump up or like pause for 2 seconds?
Has to be said this is also par for the course with an auto, the torque converter has to power itself up, and there may be some electronics involved which might also be a factor, but not sure about that. @sierrafery will tell us.
You get used to...
I donāt think a 2ā lift would affect the bars. They would just rotate slightly within the bush to compensate for the lift. Iām no expert on lifts though, so could be wrong.
I mean, you can cut the rest off so nothing is there and then they canāt test it so it wonāt fail. But Iād be inclined to replace them cause it sways like a cowgirl on a buffalo without them, in my opinion. If you did replace, you can get +2 drop...
Ah well in that case it is angle grinder and flap disc to remove the last of the evidence, some black chassis wax and present for mot at another place.
Little update... it was by coincidence a failed wiper motor AND washer pump! Replaced the rear wiper motor and rear washer pump and all working again. Very strange they would both go at the same time!
I did notice that the rear washer pump...
Britpart, like many suppliers, are engaged in a race to the bottom in relation to pricing, rather than concentrating on quality.
I just replaced the suspension bushes on my lads 90, after 17 months. Britpart bushes totally worn out. Buy cheap...
Thatās why I call britpart, āshi1partā cause thatās exactly what they all are sub par cheaply manufactured tat. Donāt get me wrong, they have a place if you HAVE to use a part as a quick fix but every sh1tpart item Iāve used has either broken or...
TBH, I have yet to see the significance of the letters and number. Unless it contains your initials of course.
Can't see why it is worth that money.
Loads here with NEM in, none so expensive...
With the help of one of the Reg Transfer sites I have tracked this down. Owner wants 9K for a plate I paid 180 quid for from DVLA originally.
Good luck fellaā¦ā¦

Charge or swap the battery first as an old/low battery can cause all sorts of electrical issues. Even the auto box will do as youāve described. To source parts, I just go on eBay but there are a few on here people have recommended, I canāt...
Changing the one on my TD5 was a right sod, but then I chose not to empty the sump first. Putting the new one in at arm's length through the little access port under the wheel arch, it got very slippy!!
No ramp, obvs!;) š¤£
Also the flashing D in gear is to do with the autobox xyz switch. Also your battery is low, can you fully charge it or try a different one to rule it out?
As you said it just suddenly cut out, I think itās more of a loss of fuel, loss of injector function, failed communication to engine ecu or crank position sensor has failed.
There are two neutrals, 1 in the main gearbox and 1 in the transfer box.
The main gearbox (R380 or LT177) drives an output shaft which typically spins faster than the engine in 5th, the same speed when in 4th and slower when in 1st 2nd and 3rd...
So, bit of an update. Unfortunately its still a non starter.
Things we have tried since last update...
Cranked it over with an oscilloscope on each of the injectors and found they all get 1 weak signal and then nothing. Which we assume is the...
Yur, well I have stuff like that too, but I don't carry it around with me int cars!
The choc block gets it home then it gets fixed propah, usually!! š¤£
