i had a very worn cam (in the end) it presented as popping under acceleration.it was actually blowback into the inlet when the inlet valve opened, as the exhaust valve wasnt opening

Front ATB is in! Of course its the Ultrabuild spec from Xcess4x4. Same ATB thatbwas in the D2, just stripped, cleaned and rebuilt.
Also resealed the cam cover cap, alternator Vac line. Both had little leaks so hopefully im leak free now...
