l like the looks of mine from every angle except the front. l thought a larger grille like the old Defender would have looked better. But that's exactly what's been done on the new Octa and l don't like it at all.
Let's face it, nothing is going...
Have you actually driven one, to come to this conclusion?
l agree that the 90 looks better than the 110, although most buyers round here seem to go for the larger version.
Bizarrely the 130 seems to work better than the 110
My current thoughts having owned my Defender 90 Commercial for 2 1/2 years are, it's not a Defender.
lt's the new Defender.
lt's not like the old one, although there's a certain Land Rover "DNA" feel to it when driving it. Certainly with mine...
Bit of an update to this, my 110 (red) now as a station wagon is perfuming flawlessly as expected. I still prefer the hard top body but this is the sacrifices you make by having children. There has been more times that I have had to use the...
UA productive day. Bit there’s no going back now. I just hope this was a good idea!
The moving it on a sankey was Definitly a little top heavy. That might not have been the best idea but it did the job and wasn’t going very far.
My old thread !
An update l tried to sell it in 2022 for £22,000 but it didn't move, not a single enquiry.
The mileage was by that time 155,000. I think values had also fallen from the post-covid peak.
l dropped the price to £20,000 then l had...
That's the problem, you're effectively dealing with a computer nowadays and not a person.
l had a long discussion with AF about the side steps on my 2005 Defender, the girl just didn't know what they were. When the policy came through it stated...
"Adjustable dampers are from Terrafirma and a absolutely awful in terms of reliability"
90,000 miles and only one failure where the adjustment knob had siezed. Mainly road use though.
"RTC dampers are a gimmick at best, unreliable and crap at...
"Six speed box doesnt make much of a difference given the V8 5th in an R380 is the same ratio."
The Defender TDCi l test drove was doing 2,000 rpm at 70mph in sixth gear. My TD5 110 was doing 3,000rpm at 70mph.
Difference between the two is really
Tdci -
slightly more costly to fix/modfiy
Nicer more car like interior, nicer seats, especially the 110
Underpowered given todays standards, however a simple remap will allow you to keep.up with traffic...
lt's easy to improve one to make it better as a car, if that's what you want to use it for.
First try to get one with aircon.
Adjustable dampers set to soft, give a better ride on the road
RTC steering damper makes the steering more suitable...
l think you're right. The only Ineos Grenadier classed as "Commercial" with HMRC is the two seat version.
l don't think the Puma 110 Utility (5 seat) is classed as a "van" by HMRC
l would have to just keep it as a private vehicle and charge the...
So l have been offered a good deal on a late model Puma 110 XS.
I realise this is a "Commercial Vehicle" in the eyes of DVLA but not HMRC.
l've read that you can put it through a business anyway (l wouldn't be claiming VAT as not registered)...
