day off on Friday to catch up 😃 front axle off, disassembled and casing cleaned but it does require a new diff pan as its very dented.
Given the resources of the RN, are they supplying a vehicle and other logistics?
I’m a cynic at the best of times, but it’s a big ask for a stranger to give or loan a vehicle to a group of strangers for such a purpose.
It’s a cursory word of warning once he starts poking around underneath. It doesn’t take too long for paying someone to weld before a significant part of the cost of a new chassis is reached. But yes, the finances will dictate what action is taken.

As a minimum, I’d look at a rear quarter chassis. Would you consider a galvanised chassis? It would be a better bet in the long run.
I picked up a slow puncture on Friday. I can’t get it fixed until Tuesday due to availability of the local tyre place so I’ve been pumping it up daily. 🙄

I've made a good start on it today, fit it up this afternoon to get the locations of the fixed uprights in position and i should finish it tomorrow hopefully.
It pivots on 16mm bolts at the bottom of the uprights and locates in notches at the top...
