Good morning - stripping down a suffix B Gearbox and the main shaft has a D stamped into it? I think this has been added due to the Suffix D gearbox having stronger internals if I'm not correct?

Just tearing down a Series 3 suffix B gearbox and i seem to be missing these two shims (Part no 561197) from the intermediate shaft. Do i need these based on total end float measurements (if anyone has them).

Turners do quality head gasket sets def replace valve stem seals, I would also strip the valves and springs, rockers check for any damage and lap them in, inspect head for damage/ cracks etc and order parts once
I done mine last year as the valve stems were goosed. Ended up putting on a composite gasket and replacing some bushes on the cam shaft but all in all was a great experience.
Even done a de-coke at the same time which all the pistons needed...
