    Just got the offside rear hub off the car. Could not feel any play either on the car or mounted in the bench vice. Bearing feels ok-ish, but the axle seal is really loose on the drive shaft, so gotta replace that. Cannot see any obvious way...

    I would make sure it is the reinforced stuff with the surface texture like a golf-ball. Once on it hardens so if you take it off for any reason, replace it.

    Land Rover told me they weren't replacable. Best clean up the seat and washer and hope it works. If you can get it off (I couldn't as it was smaller than the shaft) then heat to cherry red and then put it back on the injector and put back when cool.
