Good points I was a bit concerned the aftermarket kit might be a bit weak. But I purely want it so I don't have to go around locking all doors - and my locks need replacing anyway so figured I could do it all at once.

Thanks for the info guys, has anyone replaced the ignition key before? is it a tricky job to do? If so I may just do the door key barrels and keep 2 keys one for ignition and one for locks.

Hello all, So Ive just purchased my first Defender a 2002 90. So far its going great but locking the doors is driving me insane. It was previously a real farm vehicle which never got locked and only came with 2 keys one that dose the ignition and passenger door but doesn't seem to work on...
