You can manually check the sensors by putting a multimeter on the output. Set it to resistance, and you should get something around 1k Ohms. If you them set the meter to AC volts and spin the wheel, you should see a voltage being delivered. A...
So grateful to Freddie17 for coming over today and for all of your suggestions.
I have attached the data from PSCAN as we were driving along. Sorry that it sis not that easy to read.
Mostly the HDC green light does not appear. It came on once...
@GrumpyGel
I’ve just been over and plugged Pscan in for @GP1006.
Connected to Wabco ECU and no codes. In fact, could only find a code on the engine side for the fuel temp sensor, and a code on the srs side… possibly linked to 3 amigos?
Took it...
The strange thing for me is how I could read the Wabco fine, and see live data, but is lost connection within 10 seconds of actually driving. Then did the exact same thing again.
1.7kph when stationary is normal. I think that this is the "slowest" speed that it can sense.
The diagnostic protocol gets cut off above a certain speed, for "health and safety" reasons.
The ABS is not actually functioning when the diagnostic...
You'll need a F1 specific code reader for it to connect to the ABS.
You may find a generic tool that will talk tot he ABS - but that's hit or miss.
If the reader is just talking to the main engine ECU it won't find the codes. In fact, it's...
If your diagnostics tool has the options, point it to Wabco ABS. It will then talk to the ABS ECU and will get the error codes. If it doesn't support Wabco, then you won't be able to get them.
I have plugged a 'generic' type reader into mine...
Thanks for your advice. The ODB reader used is a professional one that costs £1000s and had the vehicle and chassis listed on it after connection.. I also have the SRS light on and it gave me three codes for that system. So is ODB compliant ?
Hi all, new to the forum and perhaps someone can help me please
Have a Freelander 1 1998 diesel.
The 3 Amigo lights are on but just put on Snap-on diagnostics and was expecting perhaps an ABS sensor fault code. But there are no codes listed...
