I cant understand why the tub or bulkhead height have much to do with it if its too far backwards. How much are we talking at the top ?

Any chance of a pic, it sounds like you may be saying its leaning forward at the top by the roof ? That's the only place I can think it would be able to move any on its own ? What's moving when you remove the straps ? Is it galvanised ? could...
