DanClarke posted the thread P38A What Lambda sensors are they? in Range Rover.
Sorry if this is a dumb/daft question but what are the lambda sensors on the P38? Are they Bosch LSU 4.9's or something else? The part number AMR6244 is the dealer code for them I think. Just wondering as I have 2 spare ones that I might be able...

Got a strange experience when I first drove my tratter. At night I can see the car behind and its headlights, looking like the car is coming straight at me from the front. All due to reflections from the vertical rear window reflecting off the...

I have just harvested yet more "haricots verts". We have so many, (and W doesn't eat them) that I think I am going to try and make them into soup. Maybe do the same with the beef toms which are suge! ;)

I find the forward facing marker lights on mine a pain, even though they aren't bright, they keep catching my eye and making it difficult to see vehicles lurking behind them. I don't even know why you have to have them. Sideways facing, I would...

Took a spin in the Mini, no further instances of "front-firing" (so far) since I changed the dashpot oil to 30W. :D Too soon to declare it "fixed", but I think we are getting there or thereabouts. :)

Warmer, dry and sunny over here. Just about to go out and water as CBA to do it last night in the dark. Need to fish out the paperwork to find out what to set tappets to on the big machine. Not even sure they will be in it. W and I have had...

Not just Jag, my old BMW has the same scary gauge design though I can read the actual temp if I'm prepared to mess about pressing buttons on the computer.

The gauge stays in he centre until at least 105C. If the expansion cap is weak, 105C is enough to cause boiling.

EBay for the grills. Just remember the phrase “the dildo of P38 ownership rarely comes lubed”. I've been on the look out for a set for a while and they’re always a high cost item.. wonder if I can 3D print a set?

With the boiling over you need to make sure the viscous fan is working properly it should roar like a tank on start up then go quiet and roar again when it gets up to temp just because its tuning does not mean its working properly, normal test is...
