As above, fit with no washers. And don't tighten. Then add washers when your are doing the alignment. You can cut a chunk out of the washers, so that they are U shaped spacers instead. Saves you taking the bolt out ....
Had to adjust just about every single item.
Never, ever fit anything tight. Roof, side frames, tubs, wings bulkheads etc before checking everything lines up.
We live and learn π€π
I had another look, it's totally my fault.
They do with or without mesh.
I thought that meant the actual mesh screen.
What it actually means is recessed for mesh, or not recessed for mesh.
Looks like if I cut of the tabs I can custom fit it π€π
Have you looked to see how easy (it wont be) to replace those.
Reach in give it a bang and pop out some of the dent if you can/want, but most of us live with the odd dent here & there. At the end of the day its the least of our worries  :D.

Afternoon campers.
Today I decided to refit the upper dash on my S3, just to make sure everything lines up before recovering with new vinyl.
First job, fit the fly mesh to the bulkhead.
Only it doesn't fit π€―
This is how it looked in the old...
As a sort of update I emailed the Glass Chairman who via the local rep, has passed the video and as much info as possible to the relevant authorities.
What comes of it, if anything, I do not know.
I spent a lot of time and got virtually nothing out of it.
- Installed and new EGT gauge. . . . the gauge does not work. It has power and ground, but does nothing
- Put my column cowling on and cleaned it all up. . . . now my headlights won't...
We have a car too yeah. Landy is going to be more for our adventures / camping trips, we want to make draws in the back and a dog bed above. Roof rack. Awning. Going to paint the doors to match the body. Get a spare wheel carrier put on. Just...
We will 100% be doing this, great idea! And shouldn't have a problem opening it with the latch through the grill now. We were trying the wrong latch π€¦ββοΈas didn't know how the release cable worked until the video above, didn't realise that it...

Morning campers π
Looks like Noel's lower dashboard is pretty much rotted out (no surprise there)
First I thought about fiberglass repair, as I am au fait with the materials.
My next thought, as a non welder, I was thinking about getting some...
Thanks, and absolutely! We have gone from being worried to let's get stuck in and learn! We love it and it's gonna be worth every thing we do. This forum has been a huge help I was expecting to be laughed at with my first post π but nothing but...
That I can identify with! My station wagon project (bought for my son when he was born) has very little chassis and bulkhead left, needs a full rebuild, the rear body rebuilding back to a station wagon, as I used it for my 110, and when I bought...
I'm sure it will all be fixable and you will have fun with your land rover.
I wouldn't feel stupid.
Your landy works and drives.
Some of us (the real stupid ones π) buy total rust buckets and then spend £££££ and still don't have them in a...
