No. I've managed to get onto the nearest A road, which is a 50 and it's bouncing off the limiter in 2nd gear. We have found stopping and turning the car on and off sometimes helps. But that's not a guarantee.

So, this box isn't in a Freelander. It's in a VW Sharan 2003. But it's the same (essentially) box. And I know Land Rover owners are more likely to tinker than get rid. So, the car starts and drives, but holds 2nd gear. Once it finally goes...
