I have had the Freelander 2 since 2012. I love it but experience at first with a Transmission fault really made me wonder. I had a Haldex fault which the local dealership struggled with. In the end I took the car back, told them they could keep it and I would have my money back! Oh boy how they jumped. It amazing what gets changed if you tell them that. It was sorted and until last week hadn’t reoccurred.
We live in Staffordshire and all dealerships are a good 10 miles away. I stopped using LR for servicing some years back using a local garage who have been very good. They were supposed to look at the Haldex issue today but just serviced the car. The Oil Service light is still indicating but I am going to try the fix I’ve seen on here. It says in one part to hold the throttle full on and hold the brakes on for a minute. Can anyone tell me if the throttle has to be floored for a minute as well please. Shall look forward to looking at the forum and picking up advice along the way.
