Thought I'd have a look at the link. Great project for someone, as said, quite rare these days.
But I don't go onto MarketPlace that often, and when I do, I always have a look at what Freelanders (if any) and Triumphs are for sale here. There...
Where does the temp gauge level out with a fully functioning original thermostat (i.e. without mod)?
On a not really hot or cold day, and driving, not in traffic
Half way, or 1/4 way?
or summat else?
I seem to remember mine sitting at 1/4...
yup
It will work and I cant be @rsed to invest more time and effort in the subject
Everything is more stress down here, in the UK you just find it and order it, which I do with most things on my trips home to mum's, but this type of thing isnt...
I wouldn't fuss too much about the type of bolts or corrosion.
Unless your a sucker kinda guy you'll be removing at least once per year for servicing anyway.
Because this is what I could get :)
(I'm going to spray 'blobs' of it on the parts of the Ally where the SS bolts go through too (Galvanic table) or the SS might eat through the ally) Actually, I might not use SS bolts at all.

I actually wrote that at the end, but then removed it as it sounded too negative (I am still English after all) :D
But you are absolutely right, and I do intend to report back
That wont be until spring when I pop back to mum's and can pick it up.
Hi
I just ordered a key fob from
JLR Parts UK Ltd
https://www.ebay.com/str/jlrgenuineparts
They replied,
I sent them my VIN and they got straight back with,
I didnt ask them to confirm, they did it on their own initiative
I think that's...
They are the last characters of your VIN. YA999999 are the 'yellow indicator' cars up to 2000 and have smaller (non-vented) brakes. 1A000001+ cars are 2000 on and have larger vented disks. So the question is, what year is your car?
I think...
