Just a quick one is anyone able to confirm the voltage that should be put out from the stabiliser down the sender wire ?

It has a plate in the middle of the rad header to force the water through the core you can see it from the bleed bung when it's removed as it was one of my thoughts too

It's top and bottom both on the same side , and oil cooler pipes on the other

I mean the baffle in the rad itself that separates top to bottom,

Yer it's a brand new thermostat, and rad is brand new , and a brand new temp sensor

It was an alloy one off of eBay, just listed as 300tdi discovery, fitment was the same and has a baffle plate between the top and bottom so can't figure it out

The saga still continues, I have checked wiring had dash out checked the rubbish ribbon on the back of the dash and voltage stabiliser Seems to work as it should , I have replaced the temp sensor , thermostat and even the rad as that looked gunky , been for a drive and still goes over the 3/4s...

Checked the sensor and is the green top one that is 300 and V8 according to the part number that discool gave me that's where the guage seems to fluctuate and stay around where it is under normal driving

Yes was originally a V8 it's an 85 exposed hinge one , but is well butchered before I got my hands on it

I will have a look at the temp sender see what it is stat is new and 88 degrees can't remember what the part number was but have got all the relevant warnings etc to work

Yes po had done it everything that had been done was horrendous I basically had to rewire everything as it was all very temperamental or lucky if it worked at all, but before I put a stat in it would read about 1/4 or to a half up a long hill but the heating was only ever just warm which leads...
