I had a problem with my pedals! Water had come in and screwed the main pedal shaft! So the actuator was not engaging with the cruise control or the brake light! Because of the rust around the shaft (see pic 😮) After changing! No more problems ...

As above! Check the pedal assembly, to check that the actuator is engaging when working the pedals? Kev

if I remember correctly the brake pedalswitch has two circuits one for the brake light and second circuit to switch off the cruise.
