Hi,
You can try to remove the injector with the metal pipe. Replace the injector including the metal pipe. Use an injector extractor tool, injectors are a pain to remove.

Hi,
The pipes should not be fully inserted in the bottle so you can see if it’s an intermittent or continuous flow.
Injector 2 has too much leakback compared to others, needs to be replaced.
Hi,
You should use GKN axles,
If you have budget issue put an used one.
Don’t put aftermarket, they doesn’t last more than 1 or 2 years on common vehicule and can be less than that on a 4x4 because of the heavy angles.
You can also change only...
Hi,
For your issue, you should look at the low pressure pump. If it is dying, it can have some issues when hot.
When you turn the key on position 2, you should hear a subtle noise coming from the low presure pump.
If the pump is noisier, you...
Hi,
You should do a fuel return test.
Certainly the injectors are dead, cleaning injectors won’t help.
When you had the injectors removed, you put them in the same place ?
More than 2 mm3 fuel compensation is too much.

Hi,
Only the hydraulic system is responsible for pedal to get back in place. The spring is only here a better feel on the pedal.
Any abnormal feel on the pedal, is related to the clutch system.
Does the problem was present when you but the car...
I don't like clutch hydraulics, if the pedal behaving oddly once, it can happen again any time soon.
If you know how to shift gears with no clutch pedal, it's ok. But it's better to get it checked by a professional.
Hi,
You can use a hammer, to gently persuade the Drum to get out.
Mechanics use to tap the Drums on the side to get them out, don't know if it's good ... but it works.

Hi,
Do you have the picture of that plug ?
The plug can be disassembled, but since it’s old plastic it will break, you so a need a new connector, is a connector used for injectors, 2way JPT(Junior Power Timer) connector …
Thinking about this, the automatic timing chain tensioner will probably have ratcheted to.tighten the chain and so lifting the cog now will be impossible.
Not sure if you can release the tensioner without timing cover off. Timing cover off...
There is a warning on the workshop manual, that you should never remove the tool ( that keep the timing chain gear in place ) before installing the pump.
Once the gear is not maintained it will fall, there is no way to put it back in place.
I...
Thought I should give an update! Success!
On a very rainy cold weekend in October 2023, myself and old man took to the underneath of my Freelander....
Surprisingly, nothing really went too wrong? Seized ball joint on the lower wish bone... cut...
Hi

With the P0190 code, the car start perfecty ? With the engine cold and a stable idle ?
If the car start, the fuel rail sensor...
Hi,
I have a 2004 FL1 TD4 with only 115 000 miles.
I drive it mostly in the city, very little highway, motorway, autobahn ...
There is a strong smell when the engine is cold ( outside of the car ), almost nothing but still present when the...
Hi,
The problem with drive shaft is getting decent ones, sure you can buy one for £100, you put it, it will do the job. But in less than 2 years you probably need to change it again …
You need to put GKN driveshafts if you want something that...
That's the ground connection to the fuel filter. The male spade does rust off but it won't affect it working. It purely grounds the metal of the filter casing.
Also, the clip holding the fuel pipe onto the pump appears to have come unclipped and...
They have been already replaced, but they put poor quality hoses, you should replace them better quality ones.
Just behind the injectors there is a filter that is never replaced LLJ500010
