    If it was REALLY complicated I wouldn't be able to cope. Like I said, I connect one wire at a time and after many hours the number of wires has reduced by a few. Some day they will all be connected.

    Any car 12V system is confusing with wires every where. Eating an elephant is done one bite at a time. Sorting the wiring is done one wire at a time and as they are all labelled it just takes time. ;)

    If you jack up both rear wheels they should spin fairly freely (in opposite directions). If not then the shoes might be too tight.

    Have you checked the flexible hoses? They can bulge causing spongy brakes. You would know if the rears were wrong by the hand brake.

    Yip, they look pretty bad. I had to patch up a hole in my wheel arch behind the arch liner. Mud and dirt gather then stay wet and salty from road salt causing rust.

    I'm a little ashamed to admit I did a similar fix to my 2004 Freelander EV. You can buy kits for this off Amazon, screw in the button base and pop on the cover, then repeat 40 more times.
